• And the Wolf will Dwell with the Lamb… [Isaiah 11:6-9]

The prophet Isaiah reached out in the Spirit of God and saw the perfection of God reestablished in the Peaceable Kingdom, and he wrote (Isaiah 11:6-9 NASV):

peaceable-m.jpg (21726 bytes)And the wolf will dwell with the lamb,
And the leopard will lie down with the kid,
And the calf and the young lion and the fatling together;
And a little boy will lead them.
Also the cow and the bear will graze;
Their young will lie down together;
And the lion will eat straw like the ox.
And the nursing child will play by the hole of the cobra,
And the weaned child will put his hand on the viper’s den.
They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain,
For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord
As the waters cover the sea.

  2. Interesting Blog, I would like to make a ral comment in this place which I consider more apropiate and even because in the main post it was unable to comment:
    I may agree 99% with your opinions, but about the apocripha and the concept of the garden of eden I disagree. I explain as briefly as I can why:

    In the apocripha you may find a lot of stories which talk about parts wich remain unclear in the rest of the bible; sometimes those stories may sound credible or interesting, but that kind of story just work in the same way any fable… it may sound credible or interesting but it does not mean that is true, more over , paul showed that one must ignore judaic fables, which were abundant at that time.
    Some scholars agree with the fact that in some of the Ap. letters is mentioned the book of enoch, but also it can be oral tradition, even there is no way to know if the so called book of enoch from our days is the same that the apostles read in case that it is so… so we must be warned about all the negative doctrine which may be mined inside those books containing a lot of stories about origin of things which may sound interesting or revealing… (in the gospels is mentioned that Jesus started to talk about the prophets starting with moses, so in the case ever there was something written about enoch it had to be written by moses isnt it?) and about the serpent, the genesis clearly states that the serpent was ‘the serpent’ not any serpent, and that serpent was the devil, not a serpent used by the devil, if you read the bible literally: isaiah calls it , “…the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that [is] in the sea.” and john in the revelations calls it “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world:” , so there you see that the genesis is talking about ‘the serpent’ not any serpent, and the genesis say “Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made” in the begining God had made a lot of serpents, but here is stated that this particular creature was the most subtle of them all creatures… and of course whe ezekiel says “Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God”, and ” Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth;” the cherubs are celestial creatures with animal feathures, so clearly the devil literaly looked like a serpent, but it was not any serpent.
    This post speaks about isahia propheciy about the wolf and the lamb, if you analise it, you can see what God says about the animals and the kids and the serpent.”The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent’s meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD.”
    In Job God said that he was the one who remobed understanding from animals, so they are ignorant in God by God’s grace so they are ignorant of their sin, unlike the humans who comit sin in God’s judgement because of their evil, if you keep in mind that the bible not always is literal nor alegorical, and sometimes is both at the same time, and even it can has multitude of interpretations, you would realise that regarding disputable matters there can not be absolute truth one can be sure about, I think God want it to be like that, and also that we must pray for revelation, not all the people gets the same vision about a word, I believe the word of God is a living word, I believe I needed to share it with you… I hope it got clear my opinion as much as posible… bye if you want to reply send an email… I am going to post this in my blog with a link to yours, cause I think is interesting that other people may read it…
